Exchange API integration

Fincode connects the REST and WebSocket APIs of crypto exchanges and brokers to applications, bots and internal systems. Order, balance, position and market data flows are designed with security controls, logging and error handling.

Scope

What an integration covers

  • Order management

Placing, amending and canceling market, limit and stop orders. Order status is tracked in real time and partial fills are handled correctly.

  • Account and balance synchronization

Balances, open orders and trade history are kept in sync with the exchange. Several accounts can be monitored from a single dashboard.

  • Position and P&L tracking

Spot and derivatives positions are monitored, and average cost as well as realized and unrealized profit and loss are calculated.

  • Real-time market data

Live prices, order book and trade streams via WebSocket; historical candle data via REST. The data feeds analytics, charting and strategy engines.

  • Multi-exchange infrastructure

The APIs of different exchanges are unified behind a common interface, so the same strategy or dashboard can run on several exchanges.

  • Error and rate limit handling

Automatic retry and reconnection mechanisms are built for rate limits, dropped connections and exchange-side errors.

Platforms

Supported exchanges and brokers

Integration is possible with crypto exchanges that offer REST and WebSocket APIs, such as Binance, Bybit and OKX, and with brokers that provide API access.

Each platform differs in API coverage, rate limits and supported order types. The platform's documentation is therefore reviewed with the client before the project starts, so technical constraints are clear from the outset. Where available, development is carried out on the platform's testnet first; the switch to a live account happens only after testing is complete.

Who it is for

Investors who want to automate their own strategy, fintech startups that want to add exchange data or trading features to their product, and teams that want to manage several accounts from one place.

FAQ

Questions about exchange API integration

Is withdrawal permission required?

No. Integrations developed by Fincode are designed to work with read and trading permissions; Fincode does not request withdrawal permission.

Can the integration be added to my existing application?

Yes. The integration is developed as an independent service and can be connected to an existing mobile app, web dashboard or bot.

Is my live account used during development?

Where available, development and testing take place on the platform's testnet first. The switch to a live account happens only after testing is complete and with your approval.

How are timelines and costs determined?

They depend on the number of platforms to be connected, the API features required and the integration needs of existing systems. A written proposal is provided after an initial meeting.
